Safety Warnings & Proper Use
Please read every notice below before use. Following these guidelines keeps your Trail Tether — and the child using it — safe.
- Not Climbing Rated The included carabiner and strap are not climbing rated and should never be used for climbing or any life-safety activity.
- Not a Children’s Toy The Trail Tether carabiner is not a children’s toy. Always use under direct parental supervision to avoid misuse or injury.
- Never Suspend Overhead Never use Trail Tether to suspend heavy objects directly overhead, or in any configuration that could pose a falling-object risk.
- Inspect Before Every Use Inspect Trail Tether regularly for signs of wear, fraying, corrosion, or damage. Do not use if the product shows any sign of damage.
- Use Only as Intended Avoid using Trail Tether in ways other than intended. Off-label use can compromise the safety and longevity of the product.
- Respect the Weight Limits Ensure all attached items are within the stated weight limits to prevent accidental release or breakage.
- Car Seats — Manufacturer Approval Required Do not use Trail Tether with car seats without first contacting the car seat manufacturer to confirm compatibility.
- Age & Geography Restrictions This product is not rated for use by children younger than 8 months. It is certified for children’s use in the United States and Canada only — it is not rated, certified, or approved for children’s use outside the U.S. or Canada.
- Keep Small Parts Away from Infants Keep all packaging, including plastic bags and any small components, away from infants and young children.
- Store Properly Store Trail Tether in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme heat, to maximize product life.

Trail Tether has not been tested, certified, or approved under the European Union Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC (EN 71) or the UK Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011, and does not carry a CE or UKCA mark. International customers who choose to purchase do so for personal use and acknowledge the product is not certified for children’s use in their jurisdiction.
